This year the course has changed to improve the overall safety of the event. Another benefit is that we have one central rest stop that you will visit multiple times. This also will allow for shortcuts if you are unable to complete the entire distance.
The information below was posted in the wrong place on our website.
The course will be posted on the Tour de Riverton blog and is subject to minor changes until the morning of the ride. We will mark the course well with colored arrows on the street and have maps available to take with you. The course is posted at MapMyRide.com. There is an error on the course elevation profile and on amount of climbing. There is a fair amount of climbing, but not as bad as it shows. Hopefully we can work out the correct elevation on MapMyRide.
Please keep in mind that this is an open road event. We will not have blocked off or closed streets, traffic assistance, or any other exclusive help. You must obey the rules of the road and ride safely. Stop at stop signs and stop lights, or you may be ticketed.
We are including an option to climb Butterfield Canyon if you’d like. We’ll have water available at the bottom of the hill.

Early check in will be held at Infinite Cycles on Friday, July 2nd from 2pm to 7pm. We’ll have your waiver and race bag ready for pickup at that time. Please check in early if possible to reduce headache the morning of the ride. See you then!
If you are unable to check in early at Infinite Cycles, we will have check in at the ride starting place from 6:45am to 7:20am on the 3rd.

May 28, 2010 | Tour de Riverton
We are working out the final details on the 2010 Tour de Riverton course. With so much road construction every year, we want to choose the safest route for everyone. As soon as our route is finalized, we’ll post in here and on our Facebook page.
Here are a few details that are for certain
- The start will be from the park behind the Riverton City offices,
- The finish will be at Riverton City Park,
- The start time is 7:30 am on July 3rd.

We are thrilled to announce the 10th annual Tour de Riverton. Join us on July 3rd for a fun ride through Riverton and Herriman with your friends and family. At 25 miles, this is a great ride for the whole family that will push your limits, but not kill you!
Registration is now open online for $20. We make the Tour de Riverton a great value. You’ll get a TDR t-shirt, high quality custom water bottle, a bag of goodies from local businesses, and most importantly a fun supported ride with a couple of rest stops.
This year is special. We’re making custom jerseys for this 10th year. Jerseys need to be preordered and paid for prior to May 1st. You may add it to your registration, or you may stop into Infinite Cycles to order it.
