2010 Course Finalized
June 29, 2010 | Tour de Riverton
Here’s a link to the final 2010 Course on MapMyRide.com: http://beta.mapmyride.com/route/detail/17304360/
The elevation profile is incorrect, but the map is right. See you this weekend!
Here’s a link to the course information. http://tdr.infinitecycles.com/course/ You can see a map and get an idea of where the course is.
This year the course has changed to improve the overall safety of the event. Another benefit is that we have one central rest stop that you will visit multiple times. This also will allow for shortcuts if you are unable to complete the entire distance.
The information below was posted in the wrong place on our website.
The course will be posted on the Tour de Riverton blog and is subject to minor changes until the morning of the ride. We will mark the course well with colored arrows on the street and have maps available to take with you. The course is posted at MapMyRide.com. There is an error on the course elevation profile and on amount of climbing. There is a fair amount of climbing, but not as bad as it shows. Hopefully we can work out the correct elevation on MapMyRide.
Please keep in mind that this is an open road event. We will not have blocked off or closed streets, traffic assistance, or any other exclusive help. You must obey the rules of the road and ride safely. Stop at stop signs and stop lights, or you may be ticketed.
We are including an option to climb Butterfield Canyon if you’d like. We’ll have water available at the bottom of the hill.
