This year the course has changed to improve the overall safety of the event. Another benefit is that we have one central rest stop that you will visit multiple times. This also will allow for shortcuts if you are unable to complete the entire distance.

The information below was posted in the wrong place on our website.

The course will be posted on the Tour de Riverton blog and is subject to minor changes until the morning of the ride. We will mark the course well with colored arrows on the street and have maps available to take with you. The course is posted at MapMyRide.com. There is an error on the course elevation profile and on amount of climbing. There is a fair amount of climbing, but not as bad as it shows. Hopefully we can work out the correct elevation on MapMyRide.

Please keep in mind that this is an open road event. We will not have blocked off or closed streets, traffic assistance, or any other exclusive help. You must obey the rules of the road and ride safely. Stop at stop signs and stop lights, or you may be ticketed.

We are including an option to climb Butterfield Canyon if you’d like. We’ll have water available at the bottom of the hill.

If you are unable to check in early at Infinite Cycles, we will have check in at the ride starting place from 6:45am to 7:20am on the 3rd.

Here are a few details that are for certain

• The start will be from the park behind the Riverton City offices,
• The finish will be at Riverton City Park,
• The start time is 7:30 am on July 3rd.

Registration is now open online for $20.  We make the Tour de Riverton a great value. You’ll get a TDR t-shirt, high quality custom water bottle, a bag of goodies from local businesses, and most importantly a fun supported ride with a couple of rest stops.

This year is special. We’re making custom jerseys for this 10th year. Jerseys need to be preordered and paid for prior to May 1st. You may add it to your registration, or you may stop into Infinite Cycles to order it.

For those of you that pre-registered, we have just your shirt. You picked up the rest of your bag after the ride on the 4th.
For those of you that registered on the morning of the 4th, we have a shirt and water bottle for you.

As you know, we ran out of t-shirts. We will be reordering them in the next few days. If you would like to change the size you registered for, please contact us no later than Monday afternoon. • We ran out of t-shirts. We ordered almost twice as many as last year, and we are already out. Those who registered earlier will get their shirts immediately after the ride. We ran out of small and medium sizes the earliest. Shirts will be reprinted soon and we will contact you when they arrive.
• We ran out of Tour de Riverton water bottles. Most of the preregistered riders will get a bottle, but not all. We have supplemented the shortage (of preregistrations) with Infinite Cycles water bottles. The TDR bottles are not able to be reprinted. If you are registering the morning of the ride, you will recieve your water bottle with your reprinted shirt when they arrive in a few weeks.
• We will have the limited ability to exchange shirt sizes. It is possible, but not guaranteed.
• We will contact everyone when the shirts and bottles are available. They will be picked up at Infinite Cycles.

The summer has gone by so quickly, the Tour de Riverton is this weekend! We’ve had a huge number of people register already and expect many more by the Saturday. Here’s a little bit of information you will need for Saturday.

• Parking is available inside the park and along 1300 West. Be considerate when finding parking and plan to arrive early.
• Check in and registration starts at 6:45 am.There will be tables set up on 1300 West between 12600 South and 12800 South. See the map on the website for more info.
• The ride starts promptly at 7:30 am. The sheriff’s department will be helping us get onto 12600 South, so we must begin right on time. Do not be late.
• The ride starts and ends on 1300 West near the check in and registration.
• Race bags with t-shirts and water bottles will be distributed after the ride. When you finish the ride, come see someone at the tables to claim your bag.
• In the event that we run out of your size of t-shirt, we will have shirts reprinted and contact you when they are available.
• We will have two rest stops with water and a small energy snack. Please bring your own water and nutritional supplement. See the special below.
• The course is not roped off and there is not a good shoulder on every road. Please be careful. Follow the rules of the road. Remember, cars always win in car vs. bike.

If you have pre-registered and paid, thank you. There are a number of registrations that have not been paid. We will be sending those registrants an email shortly.

If you have not registered yet, you can still do that online for $15 at tdr.infinitecycles.com or wait until the morning of the event for $20.

Bring your friends

The Tour de Riverton is designed to be a fun, recreational, family ride. We will have people on road bikes, mountain bikes, trikes, recumbents, tandems, kids bikes, trailers, and who knows what else. Bring your neighbors with you… they will have a good time.

More and more people are registering every day. This is going to be a great ride!

• The ride STARTS at 7:30 am. Be there early enough to check in or register. Registration starts at 6:45 am.
• Registration and start is on 1300 West between 12600 South and 12800 South. Parking is available at the park and along the roads.
• We will have 2 rest stops with water and a small amount of food. It is wise to bring your own water and nutrition/food with you. Stop into Infinite Cycles this week and get 10% off nutrition product, just mention you are riding the Tour de Riverton.
• We could use a few more volunteers if you are interested in helping. We have enough volunteers to take care of everything, but a few more really lightens the load.
• If you don’t pre-register, you can still show up on the 4th and register then for $20. Bring your friends last minute!
• If we run out of sizing on t-shirts, we will be reordering as many as are needed. We want to make sure you have the right size so you will want to wear it!
• The course has been finalized and will be updated online shortly.
